ILIENSES TREE
“Ilienses Tree” band was born in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) in the 2012 and after some times they
completed the band with the current line-up: Maurizio Meloni (Voice), Claudio Kalb (Bass guitar), Simone Milia (Guitar), Matteo Maccioni (Guitar) e Giammarco Vacca (Drums).
The name of the band is referred to the Ilienses people. It was an ancient heathen shepherd-warrior
population that lived in Sardinia Island about 2000 years B.C., during the Bronze Age.
Some important steps:
In October 2014 Ilienses Tree published their first demo called “2014 B.C.” and in the same month
they took part in the Doom Over Karalis III fest.
During the 2016 the band opened for the live of the Italian Doom Metal Band Novembre and, in the
same year they played at the “Doom Over Karalis V” with the Lord Vicar as the headliner of the
festival.
In the 2017 two others important gigs arrived, opening as support for Moonspell in may and for Dark Tranquillity in june.
On july 2017 the band sign with Maculata Anima Rec (Republic of Malta) for the release of the EP
EDDA (september 2017).
During their young life Ilienses Tree have been able to share the stage with several bands such as
FAAL, GIGATRON 2000, IRREVERENCE, BLACK CAPRICORN, LIGHTLESS MOOR, NOVEMBRE, LORD
VICAR, MOONSPELL, DARK TRANQUILLITY, CARONTE, FUOCO FATUO and FORGOTTEN TOMB.
The band plays a DEATH/BLACK molded METAL music, deeply influenced by DOOM sounds and
atmospheres.
